| How to Evaluate ERP |
| Choosing the Right Technology and the Right Partner |
Selecting a new ERP solution can be intimidating. It is something that you will probably only do once while employed at your current firm. There are as many ways to evaluate solutions as there are companies. In the past 10 years, however, there are some common steps we see that might help give you a guide to creating your evaluation process.
Step 1: An initial site visit with a solution specialist
Objective: To map out and outline your business requirements and discuss possible solutions. Recommended Attendees: CFO, controller, or project manager
Step 2: Software Demonstration
Objective: Once your business requirements have been fully articulated and defined, we will design a custom demonstration of a solution for your company.
Step 3: Review detailed Proposal
Objective: Once the solution has been fine tuned, it is time to draw up a detailed statement of work that outlines the project plan with milestones and deliverables. Implementation times vary based on functionality required.
Step 4: Execute and Schedule a Start Date
Objective: Once the terms of the solution have been agreed upon it is time to place the order for the software and pick a start date for your project.
